Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has convened a follow up consultative meeting to discuss the ultimatum served on the state government at its base office, Kher Mahal, Dimapur on September 3, at 2 p.m.
NFHRCC has requested all Dimapur-based tribal hohos, student bodies, CNSA and well-wishers to attend the proposed meeting. It may be recalled that the committee on August 7, 2021 served a 30-day ultimatum on the state government to positively respond to the plea of making the foot hill road pliable “while waiting for the proposed mega project”
Various organizations have also come out in support and affirmed to participate in the agitation called by the comittee in the event the state government failed to respond positively.
Khiamniungan bodies back: Dimapur-based Khiamniungan frontal organisations—Khiamniungan Union Dimapur (KUD), Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam Dimapur (KMHD), and Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD) have extended support to NFHRCC’s 30-day ultimatum.
In a joint statement, KUD president L Butang, KMHD president Chomou Khiamniungan and KSUD president K Buche Khiamniungan appealed to the responsible authority to take note of the “people’s demand” and expedite the works for early completion of the project so as to avoid any untoward incident.
