NFHRCC team inspects foothills road Baghty division

Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) team on Wednesday undertook a joint inspection tour of foothills road Baghty division along with the motorable foothills road contractor M/S T.Tachu & Co and the representatives of Lotha lower range civil society organisations like Lotha Lower Range Public Organisation (LLRPO) and Yamhon Area Public Organisation (YAPO).
In a press release, NFHRCC convenor Supu Jamir, co-convenor Hokiye Yepthomi, secretary W Lemba Chang and assistant general secretary Chenithung Humtsoe informed that the inspection was undertaken on the invitation of the PWD (R&B) led by chief engineer Er.Kevide Nakhro and additional chief engineer.
NFHRCC lauded the chief engineer and his team for taking initiative to visit the motorable foothills road constructions as assured and taking the grievances, suggestions of all the stakeholders in a positive way.
Meanwhile, the committee has urged the department to release the running bills to the contractors on performance-based as agreed upon on July 23, 2022 resolutions.
The committee expressed hope that the department would inaugurate the bridges at the Governor’s Camp, Liphanyan at the earliest since as the bridges had already been completed. NFHRCC also expressed gratitude to the state government and the bridge construction firm M/S L Pukhato Shohe & Sons for completing the bridge in spite of numerous challenges and hiccups over the years.
