NFHRCC urges state govt to advise firms to start works

Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the public works department (road & bridges) to advise all the contractors/firms of the 17 work orders to immediately start the works in their allocated work sites.

NFHRCC through its media cell informed that this was resolved at its emergency meeting held in Dimapur on Monday. The committee also remined the responsible department to honour both in litter and spirit the MoU agreed upon on March 5, 2025 as it was done on the advice of the PWD (R&B) minister.

NFHRCC said the meeting also resolved to initiate a joint inspection to the project sites at any appropriate time. Therefore, it requested the department not to release any funds till the joint inspection was done so as to avoid misunderstanding the committee and the department.
