NFI organize essay writing and drawing competition in Kohima

In commemoration of the upcoming International Youth Day celebration, the National Foundation for India (NFI) organized an essay writing and drawing competition on SDG 3 “Good Health and Well-Being” with the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Yakukie, Kohima on August 9. According to NFI, the program was organized as an initiative of the SDG Campaigns which was hosted by ARK Foundation, Kohima and Co-Funded by European Union.

At the event, ARK Foundation president, Ketho Angami highlighted the perspective of SDGs and various goals which the UN were striving to achieve by 2030. He specifically mentioned about the SDG Goal no 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) in the context of Nagaland and how the Youth could be an integral part of the goal and how their meaningful involvement and contribution could add value to the state’s response. Field Coordinator-NFI Shanchobeni, facilitated the entire competition along with the teaching and other faculty members of the Institution.

Following the deliberations, the essay writing and drawing completion was held in which 13 competitors participated in both the discipline numbering to 26 competitors in total. Akitoli Shake (class-12), Sneha (class-11) and Janatal (class-12) were declared the 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Essay Competition, and for the drawing competition, Sylvia Saneinuo (class-11), Hiya (class-11), Dzuzevinu (class-11) secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
