NFMP Kma division exposure trip to Wokha

DIMAPUR

Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP), Kohima Forest Division organized an exposure trip for JFMC and SHG members to Wokha Division. The visits aimed to provide practical insights into successful forest and livelihood initiatives under NFMP and FBMP-KfW projects.
The program covered two batches: Batch-I from Nsunyu, Tuophema, and Zhadima ‘A’ visited on May 22–23, while Batch-II from Terogvunyu, Seiyhama, Phenwhenyu, and Kandinu participated on May 29–30.
The visit began with an introductory session hosted by ACF & ADMU head, Wokha Division, Rajiv Shankar.
Participants visited the Tssentsü Nature Outlet, a Wokha Forest Division initiative supporting SHG products through market linkage, packaging, and nutritional analysis. They also interacted with community leaders, who shared experiences on JFMC formation, forestry intervention models, Entry Point Activities (EPA), and Water Harvesting Structures (WHS).
FMU Head Yhuntilo Kent emphasized the dual goals of forest conservation and women’s empowerment through SHG-led livelihood activities.
