Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to cancel and reduce frequency of several long-distance trains during the winter months. The decision aims to ensure safe and smooth train operations amid the upcoming foggy season.
NFR chief public relations officer (CPRO), Kapinjal Kishore Sharma said: “To ensure smooth and safe train operations during the upcoming foggy season, NFR has decided to cancel and reduce the frequency of selected trains during the period from December 1, 2025 to March 3, 2026. These proactive measures aim to maintain safety, punctuality and operational efficiency during periods of reduced visibility in northern and eastern India.”
Train cancellation: Train No. 15903 (Dibrugarh-Chandigarh) Express will remain cancelled from December 1, 2025 to February 27, 2026; Train No. 15904 (Chandigarh–Dibrugarh) Express will remain cancelled from December 3, 2025 to March 1, 2026.
Train No. 15620 (Kamakhya-Gaya) Express will remain cancelled from December 1, 2025 to February 23, 2026; Train No. 15619 (Gaya-Kamakhya) Express stands cancelled from December 2, 2025 to February 24, 2026; Train No. 15621 (Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal) Express cancelled from December 4, 2025 to February 26, 2026 and Train No. 15622 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya) Express cancelled from December 5, 2025 to February 27, 2026.
Frequency reduction of train services: Train no. 12505 (Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal) North East Express will remain cancelled every Wednesday & Sunday from December 3, 2025 to February 25, 2026.
Train no 12506 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Kamakhya) North East Express will remain cancelled every Friday & Tuesday from December 5, 2025 to February 27, 2026.
Train no. 15483 (Alipurduar-Delhi) Sikkim Mahananda Express will remain cancelled every Wednesday & Saturday from December 3, 2025 to February 28, 2026.
Train no. 15484 (Delhi-Alipurduar) Sikkim Mahananda Express will remain cancelled every Friday & Monday from December 5, 2025 to February 27, 2026.
Train no. 12523 (New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi) Express will remain cancelled every Tuesday from December 2, 2025 to February 24, 2026 and Train no. 12524 (New Delhi-New Jalpaiguri) Express will remain cancelled every Wednesday from December 3, 2025 to February 25, 2026.
Train no. 15909 (Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Jn.) Avadh Assam Express will remain cancelled every Saturday from December 6, 2025 to February 28, 2026 and Train no. 15910 (Lalgarh Jn.-Dibrugarh) Avadh Assam Express will remain cancelled every Tuesday from December 9, 2025 to March 3, 2026.
