NGBF urges govt to consider Tseminyu district demand

Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has appealed to the state government to consider the demand for upgradation of Tseminyu ADC headquarters to district headquarters.

In a press release, NGBF president Saleem Konyak and general secretary Shikuto Zalipu said that “our Rengma brothers”, who have submitted several memorandums, have been demanding district with valid historical facts, reasons and rights.

NGBF maintained that there were “some facts or reasons” which were “beyond the measures of criteria.” The federation stated that the demand for Tseminyu district was “based on historical documentation since 1866, therefore their contributions and genuineness must be respected by the Naga people.”

NGBF has, therefore, hoped that the state government would upgrade Tseminyu to district headquarters without delay.
