NH-29 Aggrieved Landowners resolve to pursue justice unitedly

DIMAPUR:

Aggrieved landowners affected along the stretch of National Highway-29 from Purana Bazaar to Chümoukedima held a meeting on May 2 at Hotel Saramati Conference Hall to deliberate on discrepancies in the land survey process and rejection of compensation claims.
At the meeting, the members, expressed serious concern over inconsistencies in survey records and the lack of transparency in the evaluation process, which they said had resulted in denial of rightful compensation to the majority of affected landowners.

The meeting also approved the appointment of K. Samuel as coordinator, Kheto R. Zhimomi as press & media secretary, and Chubakumla Ao as assistant press & record secretary. The gathering concluded with a strong collective commitment to pursue their cause unitedly and through lawful, constructive means, seeking justice and rightful compensation for all affected landowners.
