NHHDC’s renovated conference and training hall inaugurated

Newly revamped and renovated Conference cum Training Hall of Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (NHHDC), Half Nagarjan, Dimapur, was inaugurated by chairman, NHHDC Ltd., Prasielle Pienyu, on July 24, in presence of Managing Director, NHHDC Ltd, ER. Y. Lipongse Thongsar, and Additional Director, Industries & Commerce, and staff of NHHDC Ltd.
A press release by NHHDC stated that the chairman, in his speech stressed on the importance of working collectively towards achieving the goal of upliftment of the socio-cultural lives of the weavers and artisans.
In view of the ever-changing market demands, the requirement for need based product production and technological upgradation of tools and machinery the local weavers and artisans should be prioritized.
Coupled with the inauguration, a seminar cum workshop to build capacity of officers and staff of Corporation, encompassing topics on understanding business concept, marketing, importance of preserving traditional knowledge on Handloom and Handicrafts products and process and building awareness on various schemes and programmes of the government relating to the Handloom and Handicrafts sector, was currently underway.
