Following the assurance made by the mission director NHM that pending salaries would be released within 10 days (including vertical programme), employees of NHM, Nagaland has called off the total cessation of work from November 21. While announcing its decision, NHM employees have appealed to the government to release the remaining fund for all the vertical programmes on or before November 30, failing which they would re-initiate the protest without prior notice. They also urged the Executive Committee Meeting, SHS, NHM to approve increment, arrears and incentives and release the same at the earliest. It further urged the government to transfer the funds within 15 days as and when the funds are released by the Centre. Meanwhile, the employees have lauded the chief minister, H&FW minister and officials for understanding the problem and in releasing funds for NHM.
