NHP conducts training on ‘first aid and emergencies & relief’

Two-day training on “fact of life” and “first aid & emergencies and relief” organized by Nagaland Health Project (NHP) concluded on January 15 at directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima for SPMU and DPMU staff of NHP.
The training started with short address by principal director, DH&FW & Project Director, NHP, Dr.Nandira Changkija, where she urged the participants to learn and equip themselves on first aid procedure. Resource persons for “fact of Life” were Dr. Rose Chakhesang and Dr. Thomas Keppen and for “first aid & emergencies & relief” was Dr. Chibenthung Kithan.
A practical demonstration on first aid and emergencies was also displayed by trained personnel from directorate of home guards and civil defence.
In a concluding remark, additional project director NHP, Dr. Atoshe Sema thanked the resource persons, participants and personnel from home guards for their active participation.
It may be noted that Nagaland Health Project (NHP) implemented by the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare was funded by World Bank. The project will be implemented in 500 selected villages and 177 health centres across all districts of Nagaland.
