Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) organized a two-day refresher workshop on Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) on May 29 and 30, 2025, at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, the workshop aimed to strengthen the skills of those involved in managing and implementing the schemes, improve service delivery, and promote transparency in operations.
Dr. Kikameren Longkumer, Joint CEO, NHPS, opened the event with a welcome speech, followed by an overview of the schemes by deputy CEO Livitoli Sukhalu. Other key speakers from NHPS included Neitsophe Sekhamo (Beneficiary Verification Consultant), Seyievito Denny Kin (Data Manager & IT Support), Dr. Akaholi V. Zhimomi (Medical Officer), and Dr. Imlinenla Longchar (Monitoring & Evaluation Manager). The newly onboarded insurance partner for FY 2025-26, Reliance General Insurance Company Limited, provided an important session on claim adjudication processes for Medco/PMAM. Participants included Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), Deputy CMOs, Nodal Officers from empanelled hospitals, PMAMs, representatives from the Insurance Company, and District Programme Coordinators.
The event ended with an interactive Q&A session, where attendees discussed key concerns and shared feedback. NHPS expressed gratitude to all participants for making the workshop successful.
