Nagaland Hotel & Restaurant Association (NHRA) has reminded its bonafide members to ensure that their establishments operate under valid Trade Licences issued by the respective Municipal or Town Councils in the name of the actual proprietor, in order to prevent unfair practices.
In a press release, NHRA further urged its members to strictly comply with mandatory guidelines issued by the State Government, including Fire Safety protocols, Pollution Control norms, Health and Food Safety standards, Waste Management procedures, EPF regulations, and requisite Liquor and Entertainment licences.
The Association also emphasized the importance of maintaining proper guest registration with valid ID cards, ensuring customer safety and security, and refraining from allotting rooms to minors or students in uniform. Members have been advised to adhere to these directives diligently, failing which NHRA cautioned that it would initiate action as per its Constitution.
Meanwhile, the Association has advised its members not to succumb to any form of intimidation or coercion related to taxation or forceful donations by individuals or groups, and to address such matters through legal channels.
