Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) has informed that the proposed agitation has been called off since the issue of the appointment of mission director, National Health Mission (NHM) has been amicably resolved. Informing this in a press note, NIDA president Dr. Kedozeto Punyu and general secretary Dr. Vezokholu expressed gratitude to the Nagaland chief minister, minister Health & Family Welfare, the chief secretary and commissioner & secretary H&FW for their timely intervention in resolving the matter. NIDA also expressed gratitude to all esteemed well-wishers and its members in all the district units for their upholding the principles of the association. NIDA had earlier set a 10-day deadline on demanding the appointment of NHM mission director under Health and Family Welfare department be revoked effect from March 3 or face phase-wise agitation.
