Night curfew in Kohima district from today

 In view of the rapid surge in Covid-19 positive cases and with a view to curtail the transmission of the disease, District Task Force Kohima has decided to impose night curfew in Kohima district on all days starting  May 5 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. till further order. This was decided at the meeting of the DTF Kohima held on May 4

Exempted: However, during the curfew hours medical, emergency and essential services, including pharmacies, movement of goods vehicles through goods carriers/trucks will be permitted.

Any person violating the order will be penalized as per the provision of the Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 beside legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, the order stated.
