Night curfew reinforced along border

As a precautionary measure, the additional district magistrate (ADM) Sivasagar, Assam has reinforced night curfew from 6pm to 6am in the 5km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from June 4, 2022 for 60 days.
In an order, ADM Sivasagar stated that night curfew was reimposed to prevent the occurrence of unlawful activities coming across the Assam/Nagaland border in the belt of Sivasagar district.


ADM Sivasagar informed that movement of any person/group of persons/any vehicular traffic was prohibited during the period of night curfew.
However, the magistrate, security personnel of Army/CRPF/Police, and civil officials deployed on duty are exempted from the purview of the prohibitory order.
