Niki-led NSCN (K) said that it was compelled to issue a statement with regard to one person, claiming to be as ‘maj.’ Matho Angami, NSCN (R) 2 i/c Kohima Town Command.
In a press note, MIP said that the NSCN/GPRN after receiving the first hand report of the said person “imposing and collecting taxes in and around Kohima Town from business establishments in the name of NSCN/GPRN”, was found guilty and was warned through print media of taking stern action against him if he continued defaming the government.
However, MIP said that the person continued to indulge in “unlawful activities using a forged official pad and signature of top military officials of the NSCN/GPRN”, detrimental to the national Yezhabo.
Despite warning him, MIP said the person turned deaf ear, “crossing all limitation and tolerance of the government”.
Therefore, MIP said it had no other option but to take its own course of action against the said person with zero tolerance. The MIP, with certain proof of his unlawful activities, requested all concerned groups/parties to view his anti-social activities as intentional and wilful defilement, tarnishing the good image of the government and said that it was compelled to take severe action against him as per the Ahza. MIP said “the consequence of which, there should not be any misunderstanding which so ever group(s) is concerned.”
