Nino Iralu takes oath as Lokayukta of Nagaland

DIMAPUR, JUN 16 (NPN)

Nino Iralu, retired district and sessions judge, was sworn in as the new Lokayukta of Nagaland at an event held in the conference hall of Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on June 16, 2025.
Nino Iralu succeeds, Banuo Z Jamir, former chief secretary of Nagaland, who completed her five-year term as Lokayukta, Nagaland.
State chief secretary, Dr. J Alam, administered the oath of office and home commissioner, Anoop Khinchi, initiated the official proceedings.
Among those present at the event included senior officials, officers and staffs of Lokayukta, well-wishers and family members.
The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted under the Nagaland Lokayukta Act, 2017 (Act I of 2018).
