DIMAPUR, JUN 13 (NPN): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will visit Shillong on June 15 to participate in key events focused on infrastructure development and connectivity in the Northeast.
According to reports, Gadkari will attend the CEOs Round Table during the two-day North East India Infrastructure (NEIINFRA) Summit and Exhibition at the Lariti Performing Arts Centre. The summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, investors and other stakeholders to discuss infrastructure development, investment opportunities and regional growth.
Later, the minister will preside over the dedication and foundation stone-laying ceremony of National Highway projects at Polo Ground.
The highway projects are expected to improve road connectivity, facilitate faster movement of goods and people, enhance access to remote areas, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Northeast.
Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio is also scheduled to attend the summit.
The summit is being hosted by the Government of Meghalaya, organised by the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region, and co-organised by the Build India Foundation.
