Niuland DPDB discussesILP and welfare proposals

A special session of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Niuland was held on August 27 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Jacob Zhimomi, minister for PHED and cooperation and chairman DPDB Niuland.
A DIRP report informed that the meeting was attended by DPDB members and special invitees including representatives from Western Sumi Hoho, Western Kukami Hoho, Yimkhiung Ariakhao Niuland, Niuland District GB Association, Niuland Area GBs Association, Aghunaqa Area Kukami Kuqhakulu, Khaghaboto Area GBs Association, and members of Niuland Town Council.
During the session, the house approved proposals for registration of four organizations—Mughaki Welfare Society, Akikili Community Development Project, New Life Welfare Society, and Aqu Community Development Foundation.
Jacob directed the district administration to organize seminars for the general public, where departments would disseminate information on various flagship schemes being implemented across the district.
The meeting also deliberated on the ongoing implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system and the new guidelines for maintaining ILP registers at the village level. The minister emphasized the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in ensuring proper implementation, while cautioning against harassment of genuine Indian citizens. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the chairperson.
