Niuland farmers visit Guwahati Pig Research Centre

DIMAPUR

ATMA Niuland organized an exposure visit for 12 farmers to ICAR-National Research Centre on Pig (NRCP), Guwahati on July 24 to promote scientific piggery practices.
Due to biosecurity measures linked to African Swine Fever, the team could not access the main piggery unit. However, farmers attended a session led by Dr. Priyajoy Kar, Scientist (Agri. Extension), who discussed feeding, housing, disease control and market opportunities.
Participants also viewed a video on African Swine Fever and toured the demo pig housing site. The visit ended with a short presentation and group photo.
ATMA Niuland said the initiative was aimed at boosting local piggery knowledge and sustainable practices.
