NKC holds first meeting

Nagaland Kisan Congress (NKC) held its first meeting on July 25 at Tourist lodge, Dimapur with state, district and block level officer bearers.

A press release by NKC stated that at the meeting, NKC chairman, V. Lasuh, while highlighting the importance of agriculture in Nagaland said agriculture is the backbone of the state as 68% of the Naga population depends on the agriculture based income.  
NKC vice chairman, M. Lepden Ao, asked all the state coordinators to organise district level and constituency level (block level) office bearers. 
He asked them to enrol kisan members in all the villages and added that membership was open to all communities of Nagaland.
