Business Advisory Committee of the state assembly, chaired by Speaker-in-charge, Sharingain Longkumer has decided to hold the fifth session of the 13th NLA from February 7. The session will be held for six days (Feb 7, 8, 10, 13, 14 and 15).
Speaker’s election: Among other agendas that were finalized during the meeting, the house also decided to hold the election of the NLA speaker on February 7. A press note by NLA secretariat stated that candidates would file nomination papers from 11 a.m. on February 3 till 12 noon on February 5 while the date of withdrawal of candidature would be February 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
