New Life Bible College (NLBC) celebrated its 25th anniversary at its campus, Purana Bazar here on Sunday. The celebration was held on the theme, “ Plentiful harvest (Luke 10:2)”.
The anniversary monolith was dedicated and unveiled by Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) general secretary Rev. Dr. Akheto Sema.
Extending greetings, Dr. Akheto said that at present there were 8500 churches under CBNEI and 50 lakhs baptized members under Baptist Churches in India.
He recalled his 33 years of experience working in theological college and spoke on the formation of theological college and foundation.
Dr. Akheto maintained that priority in theological college should be to grow in spiritual maturity and committed to the Lord.
In academic formations, he encouraged the teachers to focus on providing right information to the students, and let Bible be the foundation in all learning process.
On the ministerial formation, Dr. Akheto affirmed that there was no unemployment in ministry and no variety of ministries in order to carry out Gods mission.
A brief history of NLBC was delivered by first principal of NLBC Rev. Dr. Vikheshe Chishi, and the souvenir was released by SABAK executive secretary, Tovishe P Shohe.
Short speeches were delivered by executive member of FNBA Rev. Dr Hotokhu P Zhimomi, superintendent of AGEI Rev. Mosses Murry, former information commissioner Dr Kuhoi Zhimomi, Gonmei Poubuanlung James and message of editor-in-chief of Nagaland Post, Geoffrey Yaden was also read out.
Greeting message were delivered by NLBC board chairman Deepika, NTCA president Dr Alem Sangtam and NLBC alumni president Rhochusie Katiry.
Earlier, the programme began with an invocation by NLBC former lecturer Rev. Dr Toshi Ao, welcome address by NLBC director Jackto Wotsa and scripture reading by lecturer CK Phutung and lecturer Rosy Imsong.
Later, vote of thanks was delivered by counsellor, lecture Aboli Wotsa and benediction by PBSBAED senior pastor Rev. Dr. ZK Rochill.
