NMA appeals

Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has appealed for peace and non violence during the state elections. A press note from NMA, while asserting that elections had to be free and fair, sought to draw the attention and intervention of Governor to the recent incidences of violence against women and the death of a youth.
NMA urged for punitive and stringent actions against the “perpetrators and those found guilty.”
It also conveyed their best wishes to the five women candidates and appealed to voters of their constituencies to vote for them and give them a chance to become capable representatives of the people. NMA expressed confidence that these women candidates would work with great commitment adding that the association prayed for God’s blessings upon these women candidates on the “path breaking journey” they had chosen to bring positive changes in governance and the Naga society.
