NMA awarded Rotary Peace Award 2015-16

Naga Mothers Association (NMA) was honored the Rotary Peace Award 2015-16 by Rotary Club Kohima for its relentless work towards peace. The award was sponsored by the family of late Philip Suosahie Dzuvichu during its 13th Installation of the president and board of directors held on July 30.
Gracing the occasion of as chief guest parliamentary secretary Youth Resource and Sports, Khriehu Liezietsu lauded the RCK for its own contribution towards social service as international club and said Nagas have benefited through the service projects that RCK has undertaken in collaboration with other international and national clubs of Rotary.
Asserting that unlike many local clubs in the state, Liezietsu said RCK has the distinction of collaborating with American Rotary clubs from California and North Hawaii in the past years and expressed joy to learn of the 6 years sponsorship that was given to Kohima Orphanage and the children through the initiative of RCK in partnership with the American clubs in California.
He acknowledged the RCK for giving away the Rotary Peace Award sponsored by the family of late Philip Suosahie Dziivichii in his memory and said the winners of the award NMA deserved to be congratulated for their contribution towards peace building within the state and beyond in other parts of the country. 
Assistant Governor Zone 1X  Rtn Lucy Akokla graced the installation programme as guest of honour. The ceremony was attended by Rotarians and families the women organization leaders, Nagaland University Teachers Association, Rotractors and children and families under service projects of RC Kohima. Children who had undergone the free heart surgery through the RCK were felicitated along with their families. Meanwhile the new team was headed by Rtn. Rosemary Dzuvichu as president, Rtn. Dr. Neisatuo Mero as secretary and ten others members in the team.
