Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) in its strongest term condemned the gruesome rape of a minor girl at Bhandari and the murder of an elderly woman at Mpai village, Jalukie town.
In a press release, NMA said such crimes against women and children needed to be addressed immediately with all seriousness.
Naga Mothers’ Association said it was a disappointment to begin the New Year with such violence against women and demanded stringent action and justice for the victims.
It also urged upon all citizens to address the issue to ensure that every women and girl child should live safely and with dignity.
Meanwhile, Naga Mothers’ Association conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed soul rest in peace.
