Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has informed all allopathic registered medical practitioners in Nagaland that to promptly renew their registration if their registration has expired.
In a notice, NMC registrar Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase stated that the licence granted was valid for a period of five years. NMC said it was mandatory for all medical practitioners and also those serving under the state or central government to maintain updated registration.
NMC said those requirements were in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Nagaland Medical Council Act of 2014 and the National Medical Commission Registered Medical Practitioners (Professional Conduct) Regulations of 2023.
Further, NMC reminded all clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals to ensure that all allopathic doctors employed within their facilities possessed valid registration. NMC stated that practitioners coming from other states were required to have their registration and qualifications verified by the Nagaland Medical Council.
