NMSA thanks govt for safe evacuation

Naga Medical Students’ Association (NMSA) has expressed gratitude and appreciation on the efforts of the state government, the support and coordination extended by the civil society organizations and individuals for the save evacuation of students from Manipur.
In a press release, NMSA president, Hungruilak and general secretary, Beka Achumi on behalf of the medial students studying in Imphal, lauded the dedication and commitment of the State government, all rank and file of Nagaland police and Assam Rifles for providing security and assistance at the time of evacuation.
NMSA also thanked the Angami Public Organization, Naga Students’ Federation, Southern Angami Students Union and all civil bodies and youth organizations for their support. It also thanked Nagaland State Transport and all the drivers for risking their lives and bringing them back home safely.
Meanwhile, the association has appealed to the government and concerned authority to take swift action to bring back the people who were still stranded in different parts of Manipur.
The association has also expressed anguish and concern on the prevailing issue in Manipur, and appealed to the State government and the conflicting communities of Manipur to resolve the issue amicably at the earliest.
