Naga National Council (Parent Body) once again reiterated its call for unity of all Nagas as they struggled and fought together from the beginning to achieve official recognition of their historical and political rights as a people and nation from the Central government and the military junta of Myanmar in particular and other nations of the world at large. In a statement, the council cautioned that until and unless national workers who stood for all Naga people worked together for a political settlement, there would be no solution with anyone group or few groups as had been clearly seen for the past more than 25 years of talks with the Central government, stressing “let us understand the reality of the situation before it is too late”.
NNC (Parent Body) claimed that it had always stood for Naga national unity for a political solution of all Naga people and land in the East, West, South and North as declared since the inception of Naga people’s movement at the behest of elders and leaders of NNC, to live together as a people and nation for peace and prosperity in this part of the world.
The group further asserted that Naga people were and would always stand and believe in Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world, as they had believed and stood for the last 150 years.
NNC wished all the people in the homeland and outside a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2023. “This is our prayer to our living God during this festive season to bless all abundantly,” read the statement.
