Reacting to press statements issued by individuals on behalf of the region, the NNC/FGN of Pochury region has clarified that the statements were issued without any consultation or discussion.
The NNC/FGN Pochury region also stated that the statements were just the opinions of individuals with vested interests and that it did not in any way represent the decision and stand of the region. This was stated in a press release issued by midan peyu, NNC/FGN Pochury region, Victor Pfithu, Pochury Regional Council, NNC president, L. Musüzu Pfithu and tatar, NNC/FGN Pochury Region, Sievitho Trakha. The release further stated that “solution of any political dispute through non-violent democratic process is more preferable than solution through fights and conflicts”. In this regard, the region appreciated the ongoing political talks between the government of India and the NNPGs to bring about an amicable solution to the Indo-Naga political issue which is honourable and mutually acceptable.
