NNC/FGN commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the “Naga Plebiscite” by organising programmes at Toulozuma Village, Chumoukedima, Noklak Town and Wokha.
A press release by NNC/FGN MIP informed that in a short speech, NNC/FGN kedange, “Brig (Retd)”, S. Singnya stressed on the need of the Naga unity at this crucial hour. He also underscored the necessity for an early solution to the protracted Indo- Naga political problem.
The programme at Toulozuma Village was chaired by secretary general, FGN, Ghuvishe V. Zhimomi, invocation and Bible reading was led by FGN kilonser, Hekhuvi Achumi, the plebiscite message of the NNC president was delivered by vice president NNC, Bengdang Sangtam, short speech was also delivered by FGN kedallo, Zhopra Vero, special number by Asu Shijoh and benediction by GOC Western Command “Naga Army”, “major general” Anito Yepthomi.
The program at Noklak Town was chaired by kilonser border affairs FGN, P. Samuel, Bible reading and prayer by chaplain, L.K. Pishen, plebiscite message of NNC president delivered by joint secretary NNC, Dr. Aimong, short speech delivered by killo kilonser FGN, P. Puthai Lam, and benediction by executive member NNC, Lusang.
Naga National Council (Lotha Region) also observed the Naga Plebiscite Day at Wokha town. The programme was chaired by Orenthung Yanthan joint secretary NNC (Lotha Region) and the plebiscite theme was delivered by Nyamo Murry, advisor-cum-central executive committee member, NNC (Lotha Region).
