NNC (FGN) counters rejoinder on Leacy appointments

DIMAPUR: Naga National Council (FGN) Lotha Region has issued a statement asserting its position on the rejoinder published by E. Thungbemo Ngullie on June 18 regarding the appointment of Leacys in the region.
In the statement, ‘Midan Peyu’ Hathungo Kithan clarified that he was duly appointed as Midan Peyu of FGN Lotha Region on October 17, 2024, by K. Vadeo, Kedahge of the Federal Government of Nagaland, in the interest of national service. Kithan maintained that he has been performing his duties and functions as assigned by the FGN leadership from time to time.
He therefore questioned Ngullie’s authority to challenge his responsibilities, stating that to the best of its knowledge, the NNC (FGN) Lotha Region under Thenoselle M. Keyho has never recognised Ngullie or his associates as legitimate members of the region.
The statement further described Ngullie as a “self styled leader” whose attitude, if unchecked, could hamper the long standing Naga political struggle.
