NNC/FGN has Monday directed its workers not to participate or involve in any election of India as well as the ‘upcoming sham election of the so-called Nagaland state.’ In the directive issued by Killo Kilonser Shetovi Keyho, it also warned that any NNC/FGN worker who involve or participate in the election will be taken action and no defaulter will be excused.
While reminding that the Naga people under the banner of the Naga National Council (NNC) totally rejected the 1st and the 2nd general elections of India in 1952 and 1957, Keyho stated that the “mandated Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) always remained steadfast and never participate in the sham elections arbitrarily conducted in Nagaland by India in collaboration with its puppet state which was illegally created in 1963 through the treasonous Naga People’s Convention (NPC).”
