NNC/FGN joint meeting adopts 5-point resolution

Top functionaries of NNC/FGN held a joint meeting at Toulazouma, Dimapur on February 17, 2021 and adopted a five-point resolution.

In a press release, FGN cabinet secretary, Ghuvishe V. Zhimomi stated that the house resolved that since pandemic has made the situation unfeasible to hold a conventional Tatar Hoho, the decisions of the 68th Tatar Hoho (2020) would remain in force till the 69th Tatar Hoho was convened.

The joint meet also resolved to establish the central secretariat as per the provision laid down in “Article 50 of the Yehzabo of Nagaland.” It also decided to recommend Ghuvishe V. Zhimomi for appointment as the secretary general. Further, the meet resolved to “reorganise the western command of the Naga Army and to place Dimapur district under this command; to strengthen the NNC.” 

It was further decided that all vacant posts would be filled up at the earliest. 

In this regard, the house elected five-member search committee with Zhopra Vero, Kedallo as convenor and Puthai Lam, Killo Kilonser and Hekhuvi Achumi, Lota Kilonser as members. 

Further, the joint meeting unanimously resolved to support and strengthen the ongoing talks between the government of India and NNPGs.
