WOKHA, JUN 16 (NPN): Naga National Council (FGN) Lotha Region conducted an executive meeting cum appointment and oath taking programme for newly appointed Leacys on Tuesday.
During the programme, Midanpeyu of FGN Lotha Region, Hathungo Kithan, appointed 10 Leacys from nine sub regions and administered the oath of office.
Addressing the gathering, Kithan urged the appointees to discharge their duties with sincerity and uphold the sovereignty of Nagaland while dedicating themselves to the service and welfare of the Naga people.
He emphasised the ideals of genuine freedom, cautioning the members not to pursue personal gain or privilege but to work towards Naga unity, sovereignty and integration for a lasting solution to the Naga political issue.
He further called upon them to remain authentic, principled and committed to the welfare and future of the Naga people, urging all members present to reflect upon and uphold the core values of the Naga struggle with focus on unity, integrity and the greater welfare of the Naga nation.
