
National National Council (NNC) parent body president, Z. Royim Yimchunger has expressed deep sorrow and offered heartfelt condolences over the demise of Kevitsielezo Phizo, who passed away on January 17.
In a condolence note, Royim Yimchunger stated that late Kevitsielezo Phizo was the son of late A.Z. Phizo (the father of the Naga Nation) who hailed from Khonoma village. Late Kevitsielezo was a businessman by profession; however, he was a strong supporter of the NNC and the Naga cause.
The note added that he had been a man of integrity and humanity who guided and helped his father, late A.Z. Phizo, and the NNC in many ways. The note further said that the sacrifices and services rendered by the departed would be ever remembered by the Nagas even in the days to come.
Rohim further stated that for the cause of Nagas, late Kevitsielezo Phizo’s family members faced many hardships and difficulties during his father’s time. NNC parent body said that it, in solidarity, shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family members and conveyed prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace.
