Naga National Council (Parent Body) under the leadership of Yilow Humtsoe, Zhiongba Yimkhiung and V Nagi has appealed to Nagas in the homeland and around the world to celebrate 75th anniversary of “Naga Independence Day” which, it claimed, was acknowledged by the United Nations.

In a statement, NNC parent body said Nagas as people and “nation” have been fighting for their political and historical rights and to be recognised by other sovereign nations as free and independent nation to develop itself in this part of the world for peace and development.
