NNC PB (Royim) clarifies VP suspension

Naga National Council-Parent Body (NNC-PB, Z Royim) president, Z. Royim has dismissed the suspension of vice president, Pongkho by cabinet and clarified that he (Pongkho) was directed by him to take over the office and to deal with the portfolio of kilonser of finance and administrative reforms in his absence.


Royim clarified that Pongkho was handed the assignment to control and clean those “unwanted activities” and to safeguard the business community from unwanted taxation by unauthorized person in the name of NNC PB (Z. Royim) after reports of some individuals collecting taxation/contribution/from offices and business establishments in the name of NNC-PB.


On this issue, Royim said an presidential emergency was held on April 27, 2024 where the executive members of the highest decision making body of NNC PB has declared and terminated three members- Nupavi Achumi commandant (region) as seasonal general secretary on deputation, Kakuto (home-inchage) and Khevukhu UT-1.


Royim said the three were appointed by vice president but not inducted in the government and has been “terminated from the Naga national service (NNC PB) with immediate effect for anti-government activities, unauthorized claimed of cabinet and suspension of senior NNC PB government inducted vice president, unofficial press released without the knowledge president in the name of NNC PB (Z. Royim)”.
Royim therefore said that their names have been wiped out from the official record and will not be entertained in any manner for re-settlement nor take responsibility.
