The office of the coordinator of the Naga National Political Alliance (NNPA) said that as the custodian of the framework sustaining the alliance; it had taken note of the recent disagreements within NNC/PB (Z. Royim) group.
Following careful consideration and deliberation, the NNPA said it had issued this statement to address the situation, Nillo Sheyipu NNPA coordinator stated in a press note.
NNPA reaffirmed its commitment to the principle of political cohesiveness and equal participation of all stakeholders, emphasizing that this inclusiveness was essential for collectively determining the future of the Naga people.
The alliance believes that the current political climate, which threatens the foundation of Naga nationalism, must be addressed with unity, it said.
NNPA strongly condemned the actions of the “dissident group” and reaffirmed that the NNC/PB remains intact under the leadership of president Z. Royim. The alliance stressed that it is cohesive and actively engaging all stakeholders in its efforts.
Further, NNPA said it remained dedicated to elevating the Naga political issue to new heights and appeals to all stakeholders to maintain faith in NNPA and uphold the peace necessary for progress.
By doing so, it said that alliance can effectively continue the peace process and work towards a collective future for the Naga people.
