Naga National Political Alliance (NNPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating progress toward “an inclusive and sustainable solution” while taking heed of Naga people’s yearning for “an amicable and honorable solution to the longstanding political issue” at this crucial junction.
In a press release, NNPA coordinator Nillo Sheyipu informed that the collective leadership of the NNPA “in pursuit of this objective” met on February 25, 2025 “to solidify and strengthen” the alliance, while engaging in a thorough deliberation on the prevailing political landscape, which has “left the Naga people in a state of uncertainty and anticipation.”
Recognizing the need for a unified and constructive engagement, NNPA said the collective leadership of the alliance has reaffirmed its commitment to the alliance and resolved to jointly pursue political dialogue with the Government of India (GoI).
“As part of this initiative, the NNPA will present its own Charter of Demands, ensuring that the aspirations of the Naga people are safeguarded within an inclusive solution,” the alliance said.
NNPA also placed its trust in the sincerity of the Government of India “to acknowledge and engage with this approach in good faith.” Further, the alliance affirmed that it remained steadfast in its pursuit of “an equitable and comprehensive solution”.
