NNSU celebrates golden jubilee

DIMAPUR: Natha New Students’ Union (NNSU) celebrated its golden jubilee at Natha New village on December 29 on the theme “Akiqheu kuchuqu küdau jukucho (vision towards a greater height)”, with director, IPR, Tokishe Kiba as chief guest, Shihokhe Sumi, Rtd. deputy director YRS as guest of honour, JDU Nagaland general secretary, Kitoho S. Rotokha and SBC Mokokchung, pastor Kughazhe Zhimomi as speakers.
According to a DIPR report, Tokishe drew parallels of pupa to butterfly metamorphosis to that of successful person’s life.
He said that struggling was a phase of life which every person had to experience and opined that with knowledge, people learned the difference between good and bad.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by former NNSU president, Ikato V Zhimomi, welcome address was delivered by GB Natha old and Sumi Kukami Hoho general secretary, Hetoho S Zhimomi and special number was presented by Zhimokali K, followed by various cultural presentations and competitions.
