No crisis of LPG in Assam: Himanta

Guwahati, Mar 11 (PTI):

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said there is no crisis of LPG cylinders in the state. Speaking to reporters here, Sarma said that the state government is monitoring the situation arising across the country on the backdrop of the war in West Asia.
“I am looking into it, and there is no shortage of domestic LPG. India has made arrangements to bring gas from 40 countries,” he said. Sarma further said that Russia has started sending oil and gas to India.
Earlier during the day, PSU firm Indian Oil Corp, which supplies LPG cylinders to almost 85 per cent of the entire Northeast market, said it has enough stock to provide the cooking fuel in the region during the coming period on the backdrop of the war in West Asia.
