DIMAPUR, AUG 20 (NPN)

The Noklak District Athletics Association (NDAA) has announced the Junior Athletics Meet 2025, scheduled to be held on August 26 at the Public Ground, Noklak. The event will include competitions across three age categories—Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18—for both boys and girls.
The meet aims to identify and select top-performing athletes from the district to represent Noklak at the 2nd Nagaland Junior Athletics Championship, tentatively slated for September 2025.
Events for the Under-14 category will be conducted in triathlon formats, offering combinations such as 60m sprint, long jump, high jump, back throw, and 600m run. The Under-16 and Under-18 categories will include individual track and field events such as sprints (60m to 1000m), long jump, high jump (scissor technique), and shot put, with weight specifications adjusted by age and gender.
Eligibility is determined by birth dates ranging from September 25, 2007, to September 24, 2013, and Aadhaar card verification is mandatory. Athletes in the Under-16 and Under-18 categories may participate in up to two events, while Under-14 participants may choose one triathlon set.
Registration is open until August 25, with a fee of Rs. 100 per athlete. Interested participants may contact the NDAA at the provided numbers for further details.
The NDAA has extended a warm invitation to all eligible athletes in the district and expressed its commitment to fostering grassroots sports development.
