Noklak DPDB meeting held

The monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Noklak district was held on April 18 in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Noklak, under the chairmanship of advisor for Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economics & Statistics, L. Khumo, who is also the DPDB chairman, Noklak.
According to a DIPR report, Khumo urged upon all the members to be regular at DPDB meetings and requested them to share their views. He requested the members to have a constructive debate.
During the meeting, DPDB and DC Noklak, Hiazu Meru briefed the house on the meeting held with NITI Aayog on sustainable development goal of the district.
In this regard, he asked the responsible department to submit the data on time.
He also requested departmental officials to work hard as a team to uplift the district.
The house approved and recommended recognition of Hanyuk village, construction of staff quarters and security fencing of the health unit under Noklak district and NST bus service from Noklak-Thonoknyu via Nokhu.
On human resources of the district, the house discussed the urgent establishment of a college at Noklak where at present there was no college in the district.
The house agreed that this was an urgent need.
The matter was approved and recommended by the responsible departments.
