Noklak hosts district-level Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh

DIMAPUR

A District-Level Programme under the “Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh” was held at the Tourist Lodge in Noklak to honor the tireless efforts of frontline workers and officials involved in the Aspirational Block Program (ABP). The event was organized by the District Administration of Noklak and attended by various government representatives, health officials, and community leaders.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, P. Mono Khiamniungan, commended the dedication and collective spirit of the officers and workers who steered the block toward notable success.
“It is not an exceptional scheme that raised the block, but the commitment and teamwork of those involved,” he remarked, referencing Thonoknyu block as an inspirational benchmark. Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Vikhoto Richa, provided an overview of the Sampoornata Abhiyan campaign, which spanned from July to September 2024. He revealed that Thonoknyu block achieved 100% saturation in five out of six key performance indicators, citing effective interdepartmental coordination, devoted fieldwork, and enthusiastic community engagement as key factors. Progress was noted across sectors such as health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and financial inclusion.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Victor shared a compelling success story from the campaign, highlighting a door-to-door survey targeting all eligible and married couples.
Pregnancy testing played a pivotal role in boosting health-related indicators. The intensive outreach also helped gather critical health data, laying the groundwork for future medical interventions.
In line with tuberculosis elimination efforts, Dr. Victor reported ongoing screening for TB symptoms and sputum collection for diagnosis.
He stressed the significance of early detection and timely treatment and credited health workers for their commitment to community well-being.
The programme, chaired by EAC HQ Noklak, Apuloka H Sumi, concluded with a felicitation ceremony recognizing block-level officials and frontline workers for their exceptional contributions.
