Nokzang Baptist Church (NBC), Mon on Sunday celebrated 50 years golden jubilee at Nokzang village on Sunday.
Exhorting the gathering, Health and Family Welfare minister P. Paiwang Konyak thanked God for bringing the citizens together to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Asserting that celebrating 50 years was an incredible milestone of unwavering faith and commitment Paiwang said the celebration was a testament of unity and resilience that have stood the test of time, continuing to thrive making positive impact.
“Today, we stand in awe of the legacy forged by our collective dedication, throughout the years, our shared values have fortified us, leading to countless moments of growth, compassion and support”, Paiwang said.
Asserting that violence only perpetuates more conflict and suffering, Paiwang reminded the “Sermon on the Mount” which stated “Blessed are the Meek for they shall inherit the earth”, and advocated to love, peace and forgiveness.
Paiwang called upon the gatherings to reflect on the struggles and achievements and urged all to continue foster the spirit of community, spread love, and kindness far beyond the walls. He also acknowledged the past and the present who has contributed to this incredible journey and wished that Nokzang Baptist Church continue to shine brightly for generations to come. Meanwhile, host of church leaders from neighbouring villages, senior government officials, leaders of different organisations and others attended the celebration.
