DIMAPUR: The scrutiny of nomination papers for the Wokha Town Council by election from Tsumang B, Ward 8 was held on June 1, 2026, at the office chamber of the Assistant Returning Officer and ADC Wokha, Renbomo Ezung.
According to DIPR report, the scrutiny was conducted in the presence of Observer Y. Chingyak Konyak, joint secretary, DUDA. After examination, the nomination papers of both candidates were approved, and both were declared qualified to contest the upcoming election. This marks the formal clearance of candidates for the by poll, ensuring the electoral process moves forward in accordance with established procedures.
