Non-Naga accused of assaulting elder in Diphupar area

A local man sustained head injuries after being allegedly assaulted by a non-Naga individual at Diphupar area late Saturday evening.
According to residents, the incident occurred when the victim, a 67-year-old Naga man, went to purchase chicken at a shop. What began as a normal conversation reportedly escalated into an altercation. During the scuffle, the non-Naga, around 50 years, allegedly struck him with a stone, causing head injuries.
The injured man was immediately rushed to hospital. The victim lodged an FIR at Diphupar police station.
