A dazzling exhibition and sale of North Eastern Handicrafts today began in the city at Woodlands Hotel on Saturday. Mangalore city has been a favourite haunt for the North-eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation since 1997 and their ware get sold out faster than any other city in the state except Bangalore says the organisers.
The exhibition organised by the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation under the Govt of India with the financial assistance of the Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Ministry of textiles, was inaugurated today by the district-in-Charge Minister J Krishna Palemar. The exhibition boasts of having Shantiniketan bags, tapestries bronze items, antique jewellery, bead jewellery, ear rings, finger rings, and many other curios are there for a discerning buyer or collector of items form North East.
